Situated on top of the Great Dividing Range at Bolholt Farm in Porters Retreat, New South Wales, Australia, Helmshore Manor Alpacas has been breeding alpacas since 2002.
Starting with only a young breeding female and a wether, the herd has expanded through both selective breeding and the careful acquisition of top-quality genetics.
Our breeding focus is on alpacas that produce fine, dense, highly structured fleeces in all colours from white through to true black.
Currently managing combined herds of over 200 alpacas, we have reduced our numbers from over 350 alpacas due to the ongoing drought and manageability during bushfires.
There is an on-farm shop featuring hand-spun, hand-knitted garments as well as yarns and raw fleeces.
We welcome visitors by appointment – details on our contact page.
